The Department in a Nutshell:
The Bibliography-reference reading room, Internet reading room, Vocational guidance centre and The European Union information shelf are at the department users’disposal.
The reference collection consists of a wide choice of informational publications: encyclopaedias, dictionaries, reference books, CDs, local lore materials, old and rare books, publications of Lithuanian emigrants.
The department accumulates Computerized Local press article database.
Deals with reference questions orally, by phone, e-mail.
Provides consultations and assists in information search in various information media.
Informs about the documents kept in the depository stock.
8 internet workstations are available to users. ( Instructions how to use Internet in Lithuanian only).
